Insurance Information

Occasionally a facility housing a homeschool event requires an insurance certificate in order to participate. (For example, sport events, conferences, spelling bees.)

CHN has located an insurance company that offers such policies.

The cost for insurance coverage from Association Insurance Management is approximately $350 per event. It is recommended that you include as many families as you can to help defray those costs; you can collect a portion from each participating family.

$350 basic coverage (approx $1 million policy/ $2 million aggregate over the lifetime of policy) It's similar to PTO coverage.

Another option: You may consider inquiring an umbrella insurance policy with the facility housing your homeschool event. They may have their own coverage that your group can purchase as an umbrella policy for your one-time or ongoing event. Ask and find out.
